Other activities of RPM Access include:

Development of natural gas fueled power projects in the Midwest

RPM Access will compliment its core business of developing wind power projects in the Midwest by also being involved in developing small natural gas fueled power projects in close proximity to its wind farm developments.  RPM Access will commence development of various natural gas facilities in 2013 and expects to develop and bring to market over 200 MW of various natural gas fueled technolgies by 2015.

Offshore East-Coast Wind Development

RPM Access is also involved with offshore wind development through its subsidiary Seawind Renewable Energy Corporation LLC (“Seawind”).  Seawind is an independent developer of offshore wind projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. Seawind is building on its very extensive expertise with the development and construction of land-based wind projects: Seawind’s staff was among the pioneers in the wind industry on the East coast by initiating and developing the first commercial utility-scale wind projects in New York, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. In addition, Seawind’s staff pioneered offshore wind development on the East coast by conducting a feasibility study for an offshore wind project in New Jersey under a grant from the New Jersey Public Utility Board in 2004 (Study available at www.njcleanenergy.com/files/file/FinalNewJersey.pdf).

Seawind’s staff is augmented by a group of core-consultants that provide Seawind with expertise in the marine industry, specialized know-how of the specifics of offshore wind development and experience with actual operating offshore wind facilities (in Europe).

The first project proposed by Seawind is a wind-powered electricity generating facility located in Federal waters 12 to 25 miles off the coast of Virginia. In September, 2009, Seawind filed an application for a commercial lease for the project site with Mineral Management Services (now called Bureau of Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement), the government agency that has jurisdiction over offshore wind in Federal waters.
